ANKARA, Mar 14 (PRIME) -- The grain deal will be prolonged at the current conditions possibly for 60 days, if no force majeure occurs, a source with knowledge of the negotiations told PRIME Tuesday.
"It will be prolonged in the absence of a force majeure," the source said. "I cannot mention the duration, but most probably, it will be 60 days at current conditions."
Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said earlier that Russia consented to a prolongation of the deal, expiring Saturday, for 60 days instead of 120 stipulated in the agreement, and its further position would depend on the normalization of Russian food and fertilizer exports.
